In Ghisonaccia, on Corsica’s east coast, Ghiso Beach is open from 9 am to 11 pm at Vignale Beach. Breakfast, restaurant, cocktail bar, live music in summer: the same space serves several purposes throughout the day. The furniture therefore needed to keep pace without making things more complicated for the team.
The brief was simple. The furniture had to offer individual relaxation during the day and group seating in the evening. It also had to be easy to rearrange for the lounge area, which the venue rents out for christenings and birthday parties.
For the relaxation area, the choice was four single sun loungers with headrests. The individual format makes it easy to arrange the beach: each lounger can be assigned to a guest, moved effortlessly and combined with the others depending on how busy it is. Each headrest features embroidery, giving the venue’s furniture a distinctive look without the need for signage.
For seating, six modular sofas were chosen. Four are three-seaters made up of two modules. Two are five-seaters, each combining a bench with two modules. That makes twenty-two seats in total. Since the sofas are modular, the layout can be changed as needed. The modules can be separated for service with lots of small tables, then grouped together for a concert or private event. The team can rearrange the space in just a few minutes using the same furniture.
All the pieces are upholstered in the same beige, UV-resistant fabric. This creates a consistent look, and the venue only has one fabric to manage across its entire furniture range. The shade blends in with the sand and stays neutral at any time of day.
Logistics were also taken care of from the outset. Delivery to Corsica was included in the quote, priced at the same time as the furniture. Ghiso Beach therefore knew the total cost from the moment they signed, with no extra charges to discover later.
