Privacy Policy — Personal Data

This privacy policy aims to clearly inform you about how MX HOME collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use the site m-x-home.com and when you make a purchase or contact us.

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect the following categories of data :

  • Order data : products ordered, amounts, purchase history, exchanges with customer service, delivery and tracking information.
  • Payment data : we do not store your card details. Payments are processed via our providers (see section 5).
  • Browsing data : pages viewed, interactions, technical information (device, browser, cookie identifiers, IP address), analytics and advertising data (see section 8).
  • Request-related data : requests sent via email, forms, or requests related to the showroom / custom orders.

3) Purposes and legal bases

  • Fulfill your order (cart, payment, preparation, delivery, invoicing, tracking) — performance of the contract.
  • Manage customer service and after-sales — performance of the contract and/or legitimate interest.
  • Comply with our legal obligations (accounting, invoicing) — legal obligation.
  • Audience measurement and site improvement — consent for non-essential cookies and/or legitimate interest where applicable.
  • Marketing and advertising (newsletters, offers, retargeting) — consent (notably via cookies/trackers) or legitimate interest depending on the case.

4) Mandatory nature of data

Some data are essential to process your order (identity, address, delivery information). Without this information, we will not be able to complete the order or deliver to you. Marketing/analytics data rely on your consent when required and remain optional.

5) Recipients and subprocessors

  • E-commerce platform : Shopify.
  • Payments : Shopify Payments, PayPal, Alma.
  • Delivery / carriers : DPD, Geodis, Kuehne+Nagel.
  • Email / SMS & customer relations : Brevo.
  • Analytics : Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • Advertising : Meta (Pixel + Conversions API), Google Ads.
  • Technical providers : maintenance, security, support.

6) Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers may process data outside the European Union. When this happens, we ensure that these transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) and/or any other mechanism recognized by the regulations.

7) Retention periods

We retain your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes pursued, then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer legal retention period applies.

  • Order / billing data : necessary duration for processing, then archiving in accordance with legal and accounting obligations.
  • Customer account : duration of account activity, then deletion/anonymization after a period of inactivity.
  • Customer service / after-sales : duration necessary for processing, then archiving according to limitation periods.
  • Prospecting (newsletter) : until unsubscribe or withdrawal of consent.
  • Cookies and trackers : durations specified in the Cookies Policy / consent tool.

8) Cookies & trackers

The site uses cookies and other trackers. Some are necessary for site functionality (cart, security), others are used for analytics (GA4) and advertising (Meta Pixel + CAPI, Google Ads). You can accept, refuse or configure your choices via our consent module (native Shopify tool), and modify your consent at any time via the link "Manage my cookies" available in the footer.

9) Security

We implement technical and organizational measures intended to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. Access to your data is limited to authorized personnel and to our strictly necessary providers.

10) Your rights

You have the following rights in particular: access, rectification, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on it.

You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in France: the CNIL).
